Hi Colin its a bit difficult to tell from the photos but they look almost identical in terms of manufacture ( ie they look as if the same hand made them) - that would worry me as there should be 30 odd years between them.
The 9th is not the normal badge of the regiment that is widely copied and seen on e bay all the time, but I've seen lots of copies of the 1st.
