I'm not sure it's Firmin & Sons as I've never seen it as F&S. The stamp F&S was found on RLI Queens crown officer's badges made from silver and with the hallmarks of Birmingham. My belief is that the F&S stamp for silver was actually Fattorini & Sons Ltd.
I have also been unable to find that Firmin and Sons actually made silver badges.
