Canadian Badges

I have to ask, if as you say that Canadian badges aren't your forte, then why do you even bother to buy them? Right now it looks to me at least like your collecting strategy for Canadian badges is to buy them, then ask if they are real. Sort of like closing the gate after the horse has left which at some point could leave you holding reproductions if you are not careful.
If you are keen to pick up a few Canadian badges, then why not purchase them from some of the reputable Canadian dealers such as Marway or Ursual to name but two. At least you will know that what you are getting is real.
