This one has a near identical flaw to yours... But bigger!
Guessing the die continued to be used and the flaw got worse strike after strike.
I bought it circa 1997 up Camden Passage at the militaria market that used to be there on Saturdays. Believe it was from the ''4 for a tenner box'' (which contained restrikes but also a few genuine badges too).
Always been an enigma to me - I like the slider, it's hard as nails and it looks like it has been worn, but, rear detail isn't great and big question is would a badge with such a glaring flaw have ever been accepted?
