Default Odd SA badges and memorabilia

they have come with a lot of medals and formation signs related to a 6th South African Armoured Division gunner. While I can easily recognize the South African Legion lapel badge, (does BE stand for British Empire, by the way?) I do not know much about the two medals, one commemorative of the Great War, bearing place and date (Johannesburg, 28th June 1919), that I have found to be referred to as a "Johannesburg pattern" of the SA WWI commemorative medal, and the other commemorative of the sixtieth anniversary of Queen Victoria's reign: is it a specific SA pattern? the last badge, possible a lapel badge or a watch fob (?) is inscribed with V R: I guess it could stand for Victoria Regina? thank you so much in advance for your help!
