No Keith, Peter's one in the pagri thread is a pre 1881 pagri badge - with an integral 8. A separate numeral was worn below this badge before 1881. Most pagri badges (of this type) were based on Glengarry badges. Incidentally - should be in the other thread perhaps - by the time of the Boer War Kingsmen (offr & ORs) were wearing their badge (the 1896 pattern sealed for FSC and FSH) ABOVE the pagri directly on the helmet front.
