It looks similar to a local manufacture Australian pattern wing used on greens but the background material is wrong - it was woven on green cotton. The one pictured was not worn in the unit. Ours were straight across the top of the wings, not drooping, on polyester material for summer dress and we used the British pattern wing for winter dress, although there was an Australian pattern winter wing woven on dark khaki felt - again straight across the top and the parachute had four black lines dividing the canopy - very smart and durable too but for some reason not used in the Regiment. The cotton lines used on the Brit wing to define rigging lines, the wing itself, etc used to fall apart after a couple of years. There are now new pattern wings very similar to the old Australian pattern winter wing mentioned above but woven on black cloth for wear on all uniforms.
