Hi

Maker on this is Cecil Montagu Bay of Wellington. A highly skilled engraver and die sinker.

He made a gold Returned Soldier's Association badge to present to the Prince of Wales on his tour "Downunder" in 1920.

This was put into a greenstone, gold and silver casket lined with purple (I think) silk. The story was that everyone in the workshop made some small contribution to the making of the casket.

I have a black and white picture of the finished product but where is the real thing?
