I agree - there do seem to be quite a few of these badges around. Not being sold by the most prolific purveyors of trash on e-bay though (two or three come to mind) . The Gaunt plaques on these badges are also not of the 'usual' style - crisper strike and a cleaner, slightly larger font. I made a post a few weeks ago about this type of Gaunt plaque - I have it on three badges, an RND Hood badge, one of the minty CEF MG badges (3rd MG?) and the subject LSH badge:

Again, I wonder if these are badges made towards the end of the war and not distributed - would explain minty condition. I don't want these to be fake badges, but would rather weed them out than delude myself!
