It is a well known condition prevalent in the badge collecting community. A sudden onset anxiety that you have been conned after carefully examining your expensive purchase. The symptoms include anger, incredulousness, shame and loud declarations about giving up your long term hobby for something less emotionally taxing such as golf, canasta or serial killing.

The correct psychological term is Sudden Onset Military Badge Acquisition Anxiety but it is less formally known as acute bagitation.

There is no known cure.
