Some more info on the Royal Wessex Yeomanry badges...I asked them on Facebook and this is the reply I got.
"All Officers and Warrant Officers have to purchase their own embroidered Cap Badges.
The Officers Gilt and Other Ranks Metal badges are still to be produced; a final draft of the Badge sits with the Army Dress Committee for approval. Once authority is received, the Badges will be available through the Military system.
The Cap Badge that is currently being worn by OR's was purchased privately by the Regiment and is unfortunately in very short supply, with no more being produced.
Those new to the Regiment, unable to get their hands on one, are wearing the Royal Armoured Corps 'Mailed Fist' until the new Cap Badge arrives."
