My Grandfather 237620 Pte. Richard Hodson Carter originally enlisted into the 2/5 th Bn Kings Liverpool and was transfered to the Herefords .
This book pictured is well worth getting for information on what the battalion did.
There is a picture in the book entitled "1st Bn Herefordshire Regiment: NCO survivors of WW1 in Bonn early 1919" presumably Wychwoods grandfather is in that picture
