Hi Steve,
I don't know anything about patches or badges so that might be the same for the seller as I can see it might be one of the first items he has for sale.
On looking through his feedback he has only bought items off other eBay users.
Maybe if you let him know he might take it off his sale list and it might save him getting a negative feedback.
