Yes there is, as from my previous post, this is the information that CANSOFCOM provided me. The cap badge has the traditional outer area used in CAF cap badges that consists of the crown, oak leaves and a scroll that was developed in conjunction with the Canadian Heraldic Authority. CANSOFCOM choose the wording in the scroll “COMMISSA UT VIAM INVENIAT”, which means COMMITTED TO FINDING A WAY, and the inner ring consisting of the black circle around a V-42 dagger. The cap badge was recently approved by the Governor General of Canada and is now the official cap badge for CANSOFCOM operators.
