Although I must confess that I know virtually nothing about Fairbairn- Sykes fighting knives, other than I’ve heard of them and their use by commandos during WW2, I love a good mystery !
As a longtime reader of WW1 & WW2 books and articles and having an interest in history and archeology and for the past few years delving into metal- detecting, I love reading about the tenacity and research some go through to find answers to a mystery !
Congrats to you and your friend for seeing this through, and sorry to hear of your friends passing.
