OK so the plot thickens! It would appear that the London Irish were not at Dunkirk. However, we have found a letter written by my partners dad saying 'I was called up for service in the army in January 1940 and after wearing army boots for a while I was confronted with serious pain trouble with my feet, mainly due to the fact that I had with other soldiers to withdraw from Ypres, Belgium to Dunkirk walking all the way' could he have changed regiments?
