This must have been a common sight in the 50's and 60's with the drawdown of aircraft and crews. Like Blueboy, my first operational posting - to RAF Colerne - in 1972, had a Station Warrant Officer who sported an AG brevet and Pathfinder Eagle. At the same time there was also a Corporal Clerk who also wore an AG brevet. The SWO having re-mustered post war, with the Corporal having left after hostilities and then re-enlisted, still having the right to wear his brevet.
