That flash was acquired by the 6th Fd without being authorized. It is documented to early in the Second WW. NDHQ had decided that there would not be titles for sub-units of corps, and that all corps units would wear the same title. Eg, ROYAL CANADIAN / ARMY MEDICAL CORPS. So, these titles were redundant. I have never seen evidence of them in wear, and all the examples I have seen were in un-used condition. (More in Fabric of War).
