The unit was in existence long enough for theatre made badges to have been made and issued. I think the remnants of black paint on them is a good sign - a refinement I don't believe an Indian bazaar wallah would bother with. [unless you paid a bunble for these?]
So, I'd say they look good, pending other more authoritative views!
