Its the shoulder patch that was worn by the New Zealand Forces South East Asia (NZFORSEA) who were based in Singapore between 1974 and 1989. Worn on the right shoulder by members on 1RNZIR and on both shoulders by the remainder of the force.
It s still worn today by the NZ Defence Support Unit (NZ DSU)and by the NZ Installation Auxulary Police Force (NZIAPF), both are based in Singapore.
