DEAL Battalion Royal Naval Reserve
I have a first war medal to a Medic in the Royal Marines which has written on it DEAL - S then his number. I have been told that the DEAL was his Battalion in the Royal Naval Reserve, the S standing for short service.
Can anyone tell me or better still post me a picture of the cap badge / insignia he would have worn.
