Where was merely a local antiques fair, I dare say it had been brought, or indeed, sent home, by a British Constable.
Why would simply be that I suppose they have not survived intact, in significant numbers, the local artisans in Jerusalem, Haifa and in particular, Bethlehem, made such brooches to order during both revolts, normally, upon just presenting your cap badge in order to copy.
Sadly, a whole four pounds was the awful price.
