I don't see either badge on the sites you mention but the 1st is clearly an officer's badge - privately made, as they tended to be in that period - while the second sounds like a more modern, issue badge. Keep in mind that ORs in most Indian regiments rarely if ever wore badges before WWI and even then shoulder titles were more common. The advent of modern headgear replacing the turban, except for Sikhs, made cap badges more common in the 1930s and after.
