My research says No to the 8th, 23rd and 66th as all three disappeared before cloth formation signs were introduced in September 1940 although the signs for the 12th and 23rd were authorised for vehicles in 1939.
The 40th sign does exist and was worn by the deception division in Sicily, the 12th was likewise worn by another deception formation in the Middle East.
Examples of the latter two shown.
I would be very interested if anyone can provide documentary or photographic proof of the others being worn.
