Maybe not quite what you're looking for, as it isn't actually on a battledress.
But it is definately WWII vintage and original, and came in a collection of badges including Seaforth's, KOSB and Black Watch cap badges.
Never seen this method of combining tartan & divisional patch anywhere else.
I would be interested to know more about it.
