I caught up with the second episode last night, I've been watching this with my 78 year old father who did his National Service there with the RASC in the 1959 to 61 period, I do have to keep reminding him that its not actually filmed there, but there are a few period clips which are nice and it is bringing back some good memories for him.
As to the plot and storyline you would almost think the only troops in Aden were the Military Police, Dad seems to recall there was always a Battalion of Infantry, Royal Marines and RAF air cover even in his day when the troubles were only really beginning?
We will carry on watching but for us its not going to be remembered as one of the great television dramas.
