As far as I am aware, C J Webb & Co did not make the buttons themselves as they were clothing manufacturers, so probably bought in the buttons they used on uniforms. In this case it looks as if the buttons were made by Smith & Wright again.
I believe this is the firm that combined with J Compton & Sons in 1922 to form J Compton Sons & Webb.
