If you check out Fusilier regiments officers cloak clasps they all used the 'Grenadier Guards' badge without embellishment on either side of the chain, all in gilt.

New KC RIrish cap badge worn & withdrawn

I'm told by a reliable source the RIrish had a KC badge issued for the Coronation parade but strictly withdrawn STRAIGHT afterwards as the manufacturer produced the old style badge without the green...

Any estimate on period of wear? late Victorian? The short lugs made me lean more to Glengarry but after 50 yrs I'm still learning each day...

Many of you will have seen a mixed lot on ebay last week, sadly I didn't get them!
Asked seller for a pic of PUC reverse, but is it a PUC, also is the Welsh badge military...seems to have an odd...

Indian irregular cavalry, need advice.

I having some trouble pinning down the 5th Irregular Cavalry (Gough's Horse), some sources seem to mix them up with the 5th Bengal Native Cavalry. Or perhaps it's me who's confused.
