Are you certain of the date of the photo of the Sergeant at Farnborough station? Is it written on the photo perchance as the date of the 18th August does not seem right!

Really good photos. The last picture of the two soldiers shows that the one on the left is a Piper, and the one on the right appears to be a Black Watch bandsman of Senior Rank. :)

Interesting photos. I feel the reason for the differences in the uniforms are due to the transition from Volunteer Battalions to the Territorial Force brought in by Haldane 1907-08....
