Hello Stephen, In the Canadian case, almost all the service chevrons are embroidered, and the printed pattern are scarce. I can't remember seeing a tunic with printed service chevrons.

For Canadian service, the red service stripes are each for one years overseas service after 1940. A white / silver stripe was worn by those who had entered the service before September 10, 1940....
