Colin, in the history, there is not a single photo of any GRV wearing a shako. Only Glengarrys. There is a photo of an Antecedent regiment wearing one though.

Mike, I think if you follow the picture up that' dagger' is directly in line with a fault higher up. That's all it is a crease or scratch on the picture.

My best items arn't rare or expensive. A lovely G Parachute Battery Mercer's troop Plaque, slightly different from my others and a nice RHA parade buckle. Granted not worn very often in 7th!

In Lovats the SB wore SC cuff badges and I'm sure the Cadre wore ML cuff badges. Nothing distinguishing in combats though. Obviously the non standard kit they had would have been the only give away.

It's not a tracksuit badge. They would have a Battalion numeral. Most likely just a knock off item like the 'official para fridge magnet' type of thing.
