The museum has 1 complete Bz example & a number of Bz grenades but the officers always wore silver & gilt, even in the trenches, but this was a Regt who declined to send any officers to the IG's on...

Thanks, the dealer had 2 with this OLD backing glued to the brass plate, now dried out & loose - both badges being different, but this the more attractive example.

Thanks, civi guard on TA camp then early '70's of some description. The TA guards shot & killed at least one IRA attacker on a TA base, doubt the firer got an NI medal though!

Fat unique RIrish GS & HS beret badge

This is the late FAT version of the beret badge, NEVER worn by the UDR, who had slimer versions.
Maker was Toye, Kenning & Spencer.
Beret went for GS 2002-3 according to journals, 1st pic of...

I was there when we changed from Rangers to RIrish -
1st badge silver anod for OR's, HM silver (Edinburgh?) for officers, both caubeen. Silver badge was about 30 from PRI, all long gone yrs ago....
