New Zealand shoulder titles

Hello all,

I’ve just received a rather nice 1943 Suits, Aircrew Blouse which has New Zealand nationality titles sewn on it.

Are these contemporary with WW2 wear?

Hello all,

I’ve just picked up a 1945 dated 1940 pattern RASC battledress with some intriguing and rather spectacular insignia for a lowly driver, which are largely bullion and what I assume is...

RFC wings

Hello all,

Would this RFC wing badge be an original, please? It appears to have some age, wear and mothing and is silk on wool but I am a complete novice when it comes to RFC wings.

WW2 vintage wings?

Hello,

I’m still trying to learn the traits of a good Second World War RAF air crew badge but still have some way to go.

Would people consider this one to be WW2 period?

Thanks all.

I think you’re right on the 51st patch. The back is just off but I’m not conversant with the possible types out there.

So the ground gunner badge is SSW vintage?

Hello,

I’ve these airborne patches in possession since the 1980s but have no idea of their age. Can these be pinned down date-wise?

Cheers!

Ah, good to know. So the patch is post-war then. It wasn’t his - I purchased it to represent his service but obviously wasn’t aware that it was anachronistic for his time in.

He was in 10th Med....

They’d be mine! I’m not a collector of this type of insignia and don’t know what the going rate is but a cursory look at insignia sellers’ sites put a single badge at anything between £14 and £34.
