Very similar to those worn today if you look for some photos - yours is older of course as it has a 'kings' crown....

It is a badge that purports to be over 100 years old, so, usually, you would expect it to show some signs of wear....

I seem to recall seeing a 4 Sqn patch with a 4 rather than IV but it did also feature a harrier and a lightning bolt.
