The cap definitely looks pre-WWI; unfortunately, the label has been obliterated.
It has no mothing whatsoever.

I can't think of another British cap that has the crown/ top in a contrasting colour to the body.

Surrey Yeomanry Officer Service Cap

The Surrey Yeomanry were converted post WWI to an artillery unit, wearing Royal Artillery cap badges, but after 1930, reverted to the original yeomanry badges,

Royal Bucks Hussars Visor Cap

Acquired this cap recently ( yeomanry caps are hard to come by) a rare cap with a crown in a contrasting colour.
Not certain of the date, but the regiment was converted to artillery in 1920.

It is an Indian made cap , khaki cover, and it looked like IMS side buttons.
