Victorian collars

Daniel Mazeas; page 8; MS.5 - Canadian Militia Badges Pre- 1914. These are Militia - General Service Collar Badges. Many refer to this pattern as the "Boar War" Gen Svc badge.

Greetings

Jean_Paul - Hello!

Was it you that did the display for The Vimy Ridge 90th in the City Hall; Arras?
If it was, I think I met you then.

George 5th Shoulder Title

I think it was used for a Cavalry unit, but I'm not sure. Could possibly be a pouch badge, but it is not all that big (only 1.55 inches wide). It looks like avery poor solder job between the Cypher...

2 CMR BCH

I had seen that badge in my book. It is similar but it is not near the same. Different size plus the naming on the badge is completely different. I like your slouch hat idea.

Gen Svc HB-Boar War???

CPF "Service At The Front"

The undated badge is the first in the series- so in 1914. By the way if the badge has an "X" at the start of the serial number it is a Birks badge

Military School/School of Musketry Badge

Thanks for the reference. With the Victorian Crown, I suspect it was in use during the 1800's. I have never seen any reference to this badge.
