Being slightly pedantic collars were not widely worn during WW1 as the practice was discontinued. They returning inter war but were generally not worn on BD during WW2 either.

The ORs version was sealed in 1929.

If it is indeed pre C95 then it would be worn on the epaulettes on the shoulder and as such totally impossible that it was worn by the British Army.

This is the badge still in use. They wear the same design so at best yours is a CCF...
