Hi Gents,

See attached another patterned back mark - any comments or thoughts on an association with a potential maker?

Cheers,

Roy

Hello Roy

This patterned backmark crops up quite a lot - 'Greek key pattern' I believe it is generally known as.

So far as I am aware no one has suggested a link with any possible maker.

Hi Roger,

Thank you for that. Another one to keep an open mind on then.

Cheers,

Roy

Another one I have not been able to identify. My code name is 'hammer key'.
At least a third design exists.
Roy, can you show us the front of your button?
The 'greek key' is on both early 19th and mid 20th century buttons.

Hi Gents,

Theres patterns certainly throw up some interest. I think with a little recording and a lot of luck we may be able to shed light on them at some point.

Here is a full image of my example for reference. KSLI (post 1881).
