First CASC badge

Just acquired this....what would be the 1st Canadian Army Service Corps badge. A British ASC helmet plate with the addition of a small CANADA scroll at the bottom. Not in Mazeas, this was likely a makeshift pattern until a Canadian pattern badge was created in 1903.

Nice catch Dwayne. I think I have seen a Canadian Ordnance Corps helmet plate with a similar scroll. I wonder how many other Canadian units used that pattern of helmet plate?
