99th Manitoba Rangers

Did some trading today with another collector. Had to give up a copule of good items to get this badge but I think it was worth it. Hi Jim, Nice acquisition. The flat lugs are consistent with many pre-1914 badges. No problems with this badge.

99th Manitoba Rangers

Just found this website while googling the 99th Manitoba Rangers. According to my g-g-uncle Herbert William Martin's CEF attestation papers for the 161st (Huron) Battalion he indicates being with this regiment previously. It is interesting to see the badge he would have worn. I am presently researching my family's military service history.
