6th US Army Group

This image (source not known) appears to show a British (or Canadian) War Correspondent wearing the formation sign of 6th US Army Group - to indicate accreditation perhaps?

Would you use the term accreditation or assigned to 6th AG HQ , could be semantics??? Follows along the lines of US authorization as most correspondents either wore Army and above SSI to denote unit attached and or the more well known unofficial US Army war correspondent /Photographer scrolls. Always like seeing inter Allied use of SSI, as there has been no documented study apart from pictures. My question is did they follow British or American procedure on wear? You also tend to see these at higher HQ level more of a liaison capacity? Lets hope more turn up. Thanks for showing Mike Phill |
