Middlesex regiment beret

I nedd your advice about this beret. Genuine or not ? Thank you

I can’t comment on the beret itself but looking at the badge backing it may just be the light but it doesn’t look quite right for a genuine Middlesex Regt one, the colours should be a more subdued darker shade of maroon and a yellow, my aviator shows the thing I mean, I’ll try to put some pics up later if I’ve time, do you think it’s just the light or is it that bright colour in the hand ?
