Royal 22nd Regiment "Van Doos" Cap Badge

Hi all. This badge came attached to a 1951 dated Canadian bush cap. To my inexperienced eye it looked ok from the front, but on the back it appears quite shiny. Like I said I know virtually nothing about Canadian badges so if anyone could help me out it would be greatly appreciated. Cheers.

If you are asking about authenticity, no problem. This is a good badge. The shiny brass is typical of Cdn badge construction from that period.

Thanks for that Bill. I'm always suspicious of shiny British badges so that is interesting to know.
