Help with identification please

Hi All,

I've just picked these up today and I'm hoping someone can tell me if the first photo is a div patch and if so which.

I'm also wondering if it's possible to date the pips in the second photo and if they are attributed to a particular regiment or are they generic?

Your cloth badge is one of many variations of the badge worn by members 71st (Scottish) Engineer Regiment (Volunteers), McDonnell of Keppock Hunting Tartan, 1993-2000.
