Naval brass disc.
2 Attachment(s)
I have a few of these thin brass discs & would like some help with what they were used for please. At first I thought they might be screwed onto wooden lockers, chests etc., but there is only one fixing hole not two. They are too flimsy to be I.D. discs & the space for a number to be stamped on is too small to take a persons' Official No. Key ring tags may be a possibility but they are thinner than the usual brass tags & the hole is too small for a normal key ring. Any ideas?
Thanks, David. |
A slant anchor usually indicates a port authority or another maritime non seafaring entity.

Thanks btns.
I did wonder if the slanting anchor might be something connected with the Royal Australian Navy as on their buttons. David. |
