Dear all,
These two half wings were found in South Devon. Manufacturers variants?
Thank you for your thoughts.

Hi Dominique
I think they are both fine, period pieces. I've never seen a B wing with the extension on the "B" as in your example and I note it's missing the red jewels in the crown. The combination of those two observations indicate it's not a common variant or mass produced by a larger company. Not quite enough detail to definitively comment on the unpadded backs.
IMHO

Wayne , your comments are appreciated as ever.
As to the"B" wing , it appears to have been worn.

Dominique

The N one is good.
The B wing… well, it is ‘odd’. Hopefully some others will give more comment on that one.

The B wing is legitimate. I believe it to be a late war type production. The reason for this being the lack of jewels in the crown. That is a character trait that started with the early postwar RCAF aircrew wings. Straight edge were issued to the end of the war, so I think it's possible that the jewel-less ones were a late design change.

Once again, I defer to your expert knowledge.
Thanks a lot !
