Could some kind soul help date this Hampshire regiment button ? Roman numerals for 37 and 67 th foot so post 1881 I presume. It come in with some WW1 pieces from the Hampshire Regiment and I am thinking it is an Officers mess kit or mess waiters button ?

Hello

These buttons appear from time to time and I believe they are privately purchased, civilian blazer buttons. As you say, they are certainly post 1881 and were probably made/used well into the late 20th century.
