Hi All
Can anybody ID these marks on a spoon for me please? Doesn't look like hallmarks, more like maker's stamps, but possibly European.
To me it looks like:
A1 - M - H - &Co - A - Crown over EP
Thanks in advance, cheers,
Alex

They are "imitating" hallmarks and are for an item that is Electro Plated.

Martin Hall and Co Sheffield. A1 signifies the quality of the plate, A might be a date code but you would have to research that maker to find out.
Ron.

Fantastic, thanks for all the info. I thought the EP might be elctro-plate but am more used to the full EPNS so I wasn't sure.
Cheers,
Alex
