Is that a makers mark on the slider of the MMG?

The machine Gun Corps is probably marked BP & Co Ld. B'HAM as it looks like their strike. However, I am curious to see the makers mark on the MMG badge.

Thank you for your comments. I’ve taken another couple of photos of the backs of the badges.

Your Machine Gun Corps is spot on. On the other hand, I would like a close up of the makers mark on the MMG. I have not seen this mark on this pattern before, although I am always ready to be corrected. Note on your MGC the full stop between Ld and B'HAM? It doesn't appear to be there on the MMG badge. The font seems to be slightly different also, specifically the "B" on B'HAM.

Sorry, that’s the best photo I could get! Thanks for the reply.

OK, no worries :)

It's hard to tell. The fakes of this pattern of badge are frustratingly good and they are more often encountered as MMG or RND variants. Often the only give away is the spurious maker marks on the shanks and that they are a thicker (possibly cast?) gauge of metal.

Below is an old images of two badges that I once owned. The one on the right is most often encountered and although not relevant to this thread, I thought I would show it. Sadly I seem to have "misplaced" the rear image  Both are fake....

That’s very interesting! Thank you for posting your photos, Nozzer
