Cadets badge ..... thoughts

My dad ( Rob) just got this group tonite and I want the badge but as he said at what price ?? so my question is how hard are these to find and how much do I have to pay him :(

Well done on the badge, this one is of course a QVC Victorian Pre Fed issue, there is also a very similar KC Australian cadets issue. The ribbon in the back ground of the photo looks like WW1 Victory medal ribbon, so should the badge be a QVC or KC period one ?

Just thinking.

yes its a WW1 trio with the cadets medal dated 1912/13 but i am not sure on the badge ?

Sorry for not coming back to you sooner.

If the badge is to go with the 1916 medal what you need is the KC issue not the QVC issue. After federation there was an Australian Cadets issue marked Victoria. Have a look at Cossums green part 2 1900 - 1930 book, you want either No 103 or 104 on page 34.
